From bluefin tuna to zero-emission vehicles, Monaco has been leading the pack in promoting a healthy ecology and a more sustainable use of resources throughout the world. Prince Albert himself is widely known not simply as a head of state but also one of the world’s most active ambassadors on environmental matters.
For the last seven years, Monaco has been reaching out to young people to help them learn about green matters and encourage them to keep an interest in safeguarding the planet. This seventh annual edition of Monacology is dedicated to the UN theme 'Green Chemistry'
The highlight of this year's event will be a free concert on Tuesday 14 June with South African Pop Idol winner Jason Hartman, who will also be performing at the Eagles concert on 30 June
On Tuesday Jason and his band
will perform at
Stars n Bars on the port of Monaco in support of the Monacology Eco-Village. Jason is an avid environmentalist and
has his own non-profit association to teach Africans to grow gardens for food....plus he's a bee keeper! The outdoor concert (unless it rains and then it
will be inside) is from 7pm to 9.30pm and is free of charge to all.

Sing! with Dominique Dimey, in 'Voices for the Planet'.
Draw! with animal artist Spencer Hodge.
Discover! the aquatic life of Europe's rivers with Jean-Louis Teyssie.
Ride! the fantastic e-TRICKS crossover electric bike!
There are many activities to get involved with, and a great number of presentations, including one by record-breaking yachtswoman Alexia Barrier.
Schools from throughout the Alpes-Maritimes region and Italy will be taking part, and will be learning all about recycling, replanting, and adopting a ‘green attitude’ in general.
