For the second year in succession, Monaco is hosting an important international
exhibition of contemporary art. More than 2000 modern and contemporary
works of art by over 500 artists will be on display in the Grimaldi
Forum. Since the exhibitors come from a wide range of countries -
including the Netherlands, Russia, Mongolia, Taiwan, Sweden, Israel,
Italy, Australia, the USA, Lebanon, Canada, Portugal and Brazil - the
organizers expect the exhibition to draw world-wide interest.
Sixty major European and international galleries will be presenting their top artists, among them Fotoloft Gallery Moscow, Mazzoleni Galleria d'Arte from Italy, Bel-Air Fine Art from Geneva, Tornabuoni Art Gallery from Paris, and - one for Prince Albert's new bride - 34FineArt from Cape Town, as well as the renowned Guy Pieters Gallery, whose artists include
Alexander Calder and
Wim Delvoye.
This year, it's a particular pleasure to see Chelsea's
King's Road Gallery represented. The gallery will be presenting the work of Zeng Chuanxing, a major talent from Sichuan Province.

Whatever kind of art appeals, from painting and drawing to photography,
sculpture and multimedia, visitors will be able to view the very best in
the contemporary art field. And as well as acting as a showcase for
artists, there will be a chance to reward major practitioners and
galleries with a range of prizes, including the prix d’excellence, awarded to a gallery for the highest artistic quality.
Whether you are a collector, curator, art gallery,
artist, art critic, a fervent fan, or just someone who is
curious to see what today's art world is all about, Monaco Art is just the ticket!
