It's that explosive time of year again when Monaco plays host to the very best in firework displays from around the world. Taking place over the coming four weeks, the
International Fireworks Competition wil see teams from Poland, Italy and France competing for the honour of the title and the prize of re-mounting their display for Monaco's national day in November.

Apogee Fireworks from Canada blasted off on 9 July with a spectacular show for the first round of the competition. The second round takes place on 28 July at 10pm, with Surex Pyrotechnics from
Poland demonstrating their flying colours, and the final two rounds will see a showdown between Monaco's battling neighbours,
Italy's Parente Fireworks on 12 August and Prestatech-Artifices from
France on 25 August - each of the last two displays taking place slightly earlier at 9.30pm.

For all three remaining displays,
Monaco Riviera Navigation is offering evening events especially for the occasion, on board the solar-powered electric boat 'Camille'. For €25 per person, the programme includes a magical one and a half hours on Port Hercule among the beautiful yachts, made even more so by the beautiful fireworks. Aperitifs and petits fours will be served to each passenger. Boarding is from the Quai des Etats Unis at 9.15 pm.
