La Rascasse, one of the most famous landmarks on the Formula 1 circuit, has re-opened after several months in dry dock. Now completely refurbished, the well-known club and bar opened its doors on 24 May - just in time for the
Monaco Grand Prix.
La Rascasse (named after the scorpionfish, one of the principal ingredients for the local bouillabaisse) has long been associated with the motor race, since it sits at the corner of Port Hercule overlooking the tight 180 degree right-hand bend that bears its name.
La Rascasse is one of the coolest hotspots on Port Hercule, whether you're at work or on holiday. Open daily from 2pm to 5am, enjoy a coffee and complimentary wi-fi from 2pm. Happy 'hour' is between 5pm and 11 pm, when drinks are served with side-orders of inventive finger food: mini-burgers, 'test-tube' soups, mini risottos, shrimp tempura, mini-doughnuts, cupcakes and brownies.
And with a range of state-of-the-art slot machines on the top floor, live music from 7pm on Thursdays and from 11 pm on Fridays and
Saturdays - including classic rock entertainment from local electro-acoustic band Highwood
and dance music from DJ Real Fred - there's no excuse not to stick around after 11 and join the other clubbers till well
into the morning. Now that's what we call partying!
