Best Coffee in Monaco (2)

Being English, I love a proper breakfast.
Don't get me wrong, surviving on nothing but double espresso is great
for one's figure but sometimes you just crave a little more selection.
After trying many Monaco establishments for 'petit dejuner', I left
feeling out of pocket and disappointed. So, I did what any self
respecting Brit would do and headed straight for the all you can eat buffet at the
Columbus Hotel.
The Columbus has just been swallowed up by the Fairmont group, so is
perhaps still in a state of limbo. However, their food continues to
deliver and is easy on the wallet. In fact, after having such a great
meal, we have been back for more three times in just over a week!
Breakfast runs each day from 7am to 10am (10.30am weekends and holidays) and is a mixture of an
all-you-can-eat continental breakfast (€25) or à la carte specials which
include the obligatory bacon and eggs (€6), yummy eggs benedict (€8)
and various other exciting combinations. All of this means you will
never be left high and dry with a hangover, yearning for a good old
fashioned fry-up (Monaco style!)
I could write endlessly about their amazing coffee but all I need add is that is quite simply the
best coffee in Monaco we
have found so far. Serve all this with a side of delightful customer
service and the Columbus breakfast is the perfect way to start your day
in Monaco.
