Huit et Demi, Monaco

More information and interactive maps for Huit et Demi
Huit et Demi is an old CityOut favourite. Whether it's
for a well priced business lunch or tasty retreat from events down the
road at Port Hercule, such as the Monaco Yacht Show, we often find ourselves contemplating the wicked dual crème caramel...
Last Saturday, we took our friend Lucinda, from the Lucinda Belle Orchestra, to
Huit et Demi for dinner as she wanted to try something a bit more
authentic and different from the norm. Even through the Principality had only just
started to dry out after the worst rain in months, there was still a
buzz about the place and there were even some (brave) al fresco diners -
of which we were three!
Lucinda
had the delicately fried calamari which were almost buttery in texture. We opted for the juicy beef tagliata - medium
rare with a delicious salad - and the magret de canard with honey: simply exquisite.
Service
is typically unobtrusive and prompt and a good selection of wine and
desserts sets the whole experience off nicely. If you're looking for low-key, well-priced eats near the Port, you can't go far wrong with this
place.
See you there next Saturday. Shall we say huit et demi?
