La Maison du Caviar

2010-08-31 21:31

This restaurant, one of the oldest in Monaco, has been presenting its classic cuisine since the 1950s in an atmosphere that is typically warm and relaxed. Copper kitchenware and wrought iron set alongside collections of wine bottles stacked against the walls give an overall authentic, rustic feel to any dining experience.

Go for the caviar (bien sûr) but make sure you also sample the foie gras and smoked salmon blinis...
Or if you want something more fulfilling, there's veal, kidneys, duck confit, breef stroganoff - all hearty stuff - we think you get the idea. And all deliciously prepared and served. Oh - and you could do worse than to give the Steak Villeneuve (named after racing driver Jacques) a test drive.

Recommended by Monaco residents, businessman Peter Cruddas and F1's David Coulthard, you won't be taking a wrong turn by visiting this respected restaurant in the vicinity of the beautiful church of St Charles, with its charming carillon.
