Ni Hotel, Monaco

Book a room at the Ni Hotel
Ideally located at the foot of the historic Rocher is the boutique Ni hotel, which opened in December 2008. Enjoying a central location in Rue Grimaldi – only a few minutes’ walk from the train station and the port - it’s one of the most conveniently placed and (at €150) least expensive places to stay in Monaco. But what makes this a really outstanding choice is the bespoke design of the 17 beautifully-equipped rooms including two large duplex kitchen/apartments.
The environmentally-conscious hotel is a stunning work of art in its own
right: its geometrically-planted walls form an integral part of the
building’s architectural landscape, and add a softening green to the
bright primary colours of the interior.
The first floor bar – also accessible at street-level - is the beating heart of the hotel: its pop-art décor and retro pin-up photos by American photographer Andy Hartmark make it a great place for residents and non-residents alike to relax and enjoy a drink chosen from a sensational cocktail list. The large sun-deck terrace has a fantastic view leading down the pedestrian Rue Princesse Caroline towards Port Hercule, perfect for anyone coming for the Monaco Yacht Show.
Among the hotel’s many innovative features is a full personalization
service: e-mail your photos, texts and graphics up to a week before you
arrive, and they will magically appear on your bed’s LCD headboard to
make your room uniquely yours for the duration of your visit!
This, and many other unique features, make it impossible to forget the Ni - for its vibrant design as much as for its comfort and convenience. The hotel is owned by the same group who have are responsible for two other trendy recent additions to the Monaco ‘scene’ – the Ni Tapas bar at its exclusive Avenue Princesse Grace address, and the Ni Box club on the other side of Port Hercule.
The immense and rapid success enjoyed by the new brand can be put down to a combination of good taste, funky modern design, and attention to personal service.
