On 30 June, the American group The Eagles, best known for their chart-topping 'Hotel California', will perform in front of 15,000 guests from Monaco and surrounding communities at the Stade Louis II. In an unprecedented act, Prince Albert II has made 15,000 tickets available to the people of Monaco, residents, and workers in the Principality. Residents and workers from surrounding communities will also be able to pick up tickets from 14-18 June.

Then on 1 July, the king of electronic music, Jean Michel Jarre, will perform in public at Port Hercule in a live show that combines his astonishing synthesizer tracks with trademark lasers, pyrotechnics and spectacular visual effects. Like the Eagles show, this one is free, but it will be played to 50,000 members of the public.

The first western musician to perform in post-revolutionary China, the French keyboard wizard is no stranger to the world stage, having hosted concerts of record-breaking dimensions at the Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, in the shipyards of Gdansk, and in front of Pope John Paul II. His hit albums, 'Oxgène' and 'Equinoxe' have become massive best-sellers, and are among his global sales of well over 80 million albums. His recent world tour, comprising over 180 performances, has taken him to more than 30 countries. And now he returns to Monaco.

A favourite musician at the palace, Jean Michel Jarre is also a UNESCO ambassador for the Environment and Education, areas close to the heart of Monaco's prince.
