In 2000, the Mare Nostrum International Swimming competition in Monaco was the setting for the first meeting of Prince Albert II and the woman who would one day become his princess. While we can't guarantee romance for every spectator, there will certainly be as much electricity in the air as some of the best swimmers in the world take to the pool at the Stade Louis II.
The elite of the sport will be gathering in Monaco for the final episode of the three-stage international swimming meet, earlier legs of which are held in Barcelona from 4-5 June, and Canet en Roussillon from 8-9 June.

Saturday 11 June
9am heats; 3.30pm B finals; 5pm A finals
men : 400m freestyle - 200m breaststroke - 100m freestyle -
200m butterfly - 100m backstroke - 200m medley
women : 400m medley - 100m breaststroke - 200m freestyle -
100m butterfly - 200m backstroke .
Speed tournament
11am heats; 4.30pm 1/8 Final; 6.20pm 1/4 Final:
50m butterfly – 50m backstroke – 50m breaststroke – 50m freestyle.

Sunday 12 June
9am heats; 3.30pm B finals; 5pm A finals
men : 400m medley – 100m butterfly - 200m backstroke –
100m breaststroke – 200m freestyle.
women : 400m freestyle – 200m butterfly - 100m backstroke –
200m breaststroke – 100m freestyle – 200m medley.
Speed tournament
4.20pm: semi final (4 swimmers); 6.20pm final ( 2 swimmers)
