The Automobile Club of Monaaco organizes six prestigious events throughout the year, with the climax undoubtedly the Formula 1 Grand Prix, which takes place for the 68th time in 2010
The sporting calendar begins in January with the 78th Monte Carlo Rally, followed, a week later, by the Historic Rally, for pre-1966 vehicles. In March, the fourth Alternative Energy rally will take place, which last year was won by the all-electric Tesla Roadster. May sees the Grand Prix, and - every two years - the Historic Grand Prix for classic cars, which takes place in 2010 for the seventh time. Finally, for aspiring Lewis Hamiltons, there's the Monaco Kart Cup, which runs every October in La Condamine.
