Art Monaco is an exclusive international art fair, bringing together collectors, galleries and art lovers from all over the world.
Established three years ago, the salon has rapidly become among the world's preferred meeting places for admirers, dealers and investors in fine art, antiques, jewellery and specially-designed furniture - in fact for anyone with an eye for luxury and style.
A VIP opening on 5 April (tickets €100) will be followed by three days of vernissage-style events for the general public (admission rates below).
The salon will take place at Monaco's Grimaldi Forum, one of the best-known and best-equipped conference centres in Europe. The show, which runs from 5 to 8 April 2012, will exhibit over 3,500 individual works of art - nearly twice as many as in previous years - representing the very best in world art from established international masters to some of the most promising emerging talent of our time.
Prices vary accordingly, but potential investors can
expect a range from €2000 to as much as €35 million, or more in the case of exceptional pieces. Art Monaco maintains a high level of exhibition quality - just how high can easily be gauged by viewing the video testimonials on
the official website
Over 500
artists and seventy galleries
will be exhibiting from a wide range of countries representing every continent.
This is a great opportunity to admire the latest collections from
around the world under one roof, and of course to purchase works by
well-established names or up-and-coming young artists.
It will
be another chance to see the extraordinary polyester sculptures of
Richard Mas, born in Bangui in the Central African Republic and brought
up in Valence. His works, including Sexy Fingers (below) have recently
been on show at the Novotel Monte Carlo. By his own admission
'unclassifiable', his work amuses, challenges and entertains.
Also
exhibiting will be Majd Patou Fathallah, a Lebanese sculptress born in
Marseille, who has been developing her extensive portfolio in Tuscany
and the UK. Her diverse life experiences in Lebanon and in Europe have
strongly influenced her work as a sculptor in clay, plaster, bronze and
other materials.
