Descend the steps adjacent to the award-winning Métropole Hotel and you'll soon find yourself in the glittering heart of Monaco's best-known shopping centre.  The ground floor of the Galerie Metropole is dominated by the new Hédiard shop - with its spices, teas, fruit jellies, fresh-roasted coffee, and superb selection of wines - and the Fnac store, which as well as offering the best in books, movies, games and hi-tech, also acts as a portal for tickets to major events in the Principality and presents regular book signings.

The upper floors open on to a treasure trove of haute couture, fashion, jewellery and dining, with eighty fabulous stores to choose from, many with big-name brands but others very much tailored to the very specific desires and wallets of Monte Carlo's big spenders.
