Winter or summer, day or night, the range of specialist skin 'solutions' seems to expand exponentially - without necessarily doing much good. The fact is that if you really want to look after your skin in a way that's good for it, there are times when you need the expert touch.
Skin Society on Boulevard Princess Charlotte offers tailored skin treatments alongside more traditional services - and here at CityOut we've found the salon second-to-none, especially
given its convenient location in the heart of Monte Carlo. It's not just a question of good design, though the salon
is a
classy joint; it's the standard of service that really shines out. Co-ordinated by founder Linda Brett, you really feel that your skin is being fully
attended to, not just pampered, as it is in so many spas. Skin
ailments are fully dealt with and quickly resolved through treatments
that are both innovative and effective.
Not just for the girls
As well as massage, nail treatments and facials for women, Skin Society offers a full programme for men's skincare comprising Chrono Visage and Chrono Corps - 75-minute sessions designed to de-stress as well as to reinvigorate. And the Society opens its doors to the kids as well, with a specialist two-hour programme of pedicure, manicure and makeup for girls aged five and upwards to make them feel really grown up!
Skin Society partners with major brands, and is the exclusive stockist and provider in Monaco for the world-famous
Environ, formulated specifically to combat the harm brought about by environmental pollution, work stresses and poor diet. We've also been very impressed with the eyelash extensions and long-lasting nail polish Shellac (below), which remains undimmed and unchipped for up to two weeks.
Although it's still a fairly new enterprise, Skin Society has already made its mark in Monaco through its presence at events such as the Amber Lounge Fashion show, partnering with Missoni, Chopard and Jimmy Choo. And when you're graced with the presence of the future Princess of Monaco - pictured here at the event alongside actress Elizabeth Hurley - there's no question that here's a brand that's going places!
