The big draw of the coming yachting season is the 20th annual Monaco Yacht Show. Despite the economic slowdown, last year's show posted excellent figures, with 27,000 visitors from nearly forty countries. Similar, if not higher, numbers are anticipated this year, flocking to see boats of all shapes and sizes ranging from the latest 30/40s and sailing yachts to exclusive superyachts of 25 to 90m in length.  The hundred berths in Port Hercule are already fully booked, while thirty new superyachts will be making their world debut here.

In the lead up to this year's show, CityOut will be providing comprehensive coverage of latest developments from exhibitors, as well as a complete guide to companies and events.

As well as admiring the boats, visitors have the chance to meet representatives of the international luxury yacht trade: over 500 brokers, builders, charterers, designers and equipment manufacturers will be on hand to demonstrate their wares and – who knows – maybe even persuade you to part with your money!

With over 80% of visitors coming from abroad, and 36 countries exhibiting, the Monaco Yacht Show remains one of the most international of all the great displays of the nautical calendar. This year’s exhibitors include Amels, Abeking & Rasmussen, Devonport, Benetti, CRN, Feadship, Heesen, Emirates, Fraser Luerssen, Palmer Johnson, Perini Navi and Vitters.

In addtion to the harbour, there's 20,300m² of exhibition space on the quayside, and 9,000m² of stand space, including the highly popular double-deck pavilions in the central T and on the Quai des Etats Unis, first introduced two years ago.

Wherever superyachts go, a world of luxury follows in their wake: Swiss watchmakers Ulysse Nardin have again renewed their official sponsorship agreement with this year's event, and will be using the platform to launch their precious and exclusive limited edition ‘Monaco Y.S.’ timepiece for the world’s most elite professional and private clientele.

Eager to support green projects, and true to its established environmental reputation, the Yacht Show will once again demonstrate its ecological credentials by partnering with organisations seeking to protect the planet. The Green Star Plus Award will be given to the yacht offering this year's greatest ecologically-friendly innovation.

If the shows of the last few years are anything to go by, this year's Yacht Show is set to be another spectacular. Book your place now! And getting there is easier than ever, with nine car parks and helicopter transfer which can be arranged through the official website.
