Trident from
Edmiston and Company
A classic 214' (65.22m) 6-deck motor yacht suitable for
private use and charter
The 800th yacht to be built at the Royal van Lent shipyard, Trident is a superb synthesis of De Voogt's naval architecture and Donald Starkey's
design, whose cool lines and elegant spaces prove yet again why Feadship remains a leading light in the world
of luxury mega-yachts.
Starkey, who has been working with yachts for 20 years and is the
recipient of as many international awards, is one of the world's most
inspired maritime designers. For
Trident, he blended the classic Feadship flared bow with modern touches such as
the semi-circular extensions with glass bulwarks on the aft decks. A
visual connection between the three decks is provided by fashion plates
on the stern, while the elegant wings bring a bright look and feel
to the top part of her profile.
Below deck, Starkey has drawn his inspiration from a wide range of styles, making use of
exotic African and oriental materials and furnishings to complement a classic and modern simplicity of vision.
Along with a fabulous full-beam master state-room, the yacht offers superior accommodation to owners and another twelve guests in seven luxurious suites. The dining room will seat 16 in expansive splendour, while the exquisitely-crafted marble elevator allows guests to travel up through the entire yacht to the sun deck in
style and serenity.
As for the day-to-day management of Trident, her full-height lower decks provide an ergonomic layout and excellent accommodation which will undoubtedly attract the very best crews available.
