The Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo is one of the years most exciting cultural events and takes place in Monaco from the 19th March to the 10th of April. The festival began in 1984, at the instigation of Princess Grace and Antoine Battaini, then Director of Cultural Affairs in the Principality. Thirty-two years later, the incredible adventure continues and has become more exciting and ambitious than ever.
For 2016, the Spring Arts Festival has confirmed a wonderful variety of styles spanning from the 11th to the 21st centuries; talented artists from around the globe will entertain both locals and global visitors with art, music, theater and dance at venues throughout the Principality. Indeed, the festival will provide a new way of experiencing music both through themes and locations, and this year hopes to reach and inspire a younger audience whilst collaborating with some of Monaco’s finest world-class institutions and auditoriums.
Performances can be expected from the world-renowned Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo among others.
