85th Monte-Carlo Rally

From 8am on Monday, 16 January 2017 to 2pm on Wednesday, 18 January, the competitors will undertake two-and-a-half days of intense recce. From 4pm they will test road conditions and make last-minute adjustments to their cars (shakedown – 3.35 km).

The 85th edition of the world’s oldest international rally will officially start on Thursday, 19 January from the Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo at 6:15pm. The first night-time round will consist of two challenging stages, Entrevaux – Val-de-Chalvagne – Ubraye (SS1 – 21.25 km) and Bayons – Bréziers (SS2 – 25.36 km), in the French département of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

41st Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival

After the unique 40th Festival jubilee, the 41st International Circus Festival will return with a big competition of new acts being presented for the first time in Monte-Carlo.

From 19 to 29 January 2017, more than 120 artists from 16 countries will perform under the Fontvieille Big Top. The stars of the Russian circus, the Zapashny Brothers will perform their mixed tiger – lion act for the first time in Europe. Erwin Frankello presents great skills of his African elephants and sea lions, both his friends and partners. The 41st Festival will feature the most spectacular and thrilling acts as artists on high wire, a double wheel act from the Gerling Troupe and much more attractions from all over the world… the audience can enjoy again all the magic and wonders of the circus.
