Printemps des Arts –  Music of the Renaissance II

Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival (“Printemps des Arts”): Music of the Renaissance II – Meeting on the subject of “Gombert, Lassus and Palestrina – Classics of the Renaissance” by Isabelle Ragnard, musicologist, lecturer at Paris-Sorbonne and teacher at the Higher National Centre for Music and Dance, Paris.

The Huelgas Ensemble conducted by Paul Van Nevel performs works by Palestrina, Gombert, and Lassus. Tickets 30 euros. Program:

Saturday 8th April

Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra: Portrait Berlioz 3

Closing the 2017 Printemps des Arts festival, a performance by Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kazuki Yamada and featuring Liza Kerob on violin. The program includes several works by Berlioz.

The performance is preceded by a talk about overtures by publisher Omer Corlaix and musicologist David Christoffel. Entry is free to concert ticket-holders, 10 euros to members of the public. The talk starts at 19:00 sharp, late arrivals will be refused entry.
