Princes’ Cup Sets Sail in Monaco This Wednesday

Outward Bound Monaco, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.R.H. the Duke of York K.G., and in partnership with the Société Nautique de Monaco, will be holding the first Princes’ Cup rowing competition on 8 November 2017 in the Port Hercule in Monaco.

This rowing regatta will see four teams rowing in competition on the water in the port of Monaco. Each boat will have a team comprising a renowned sporting celebrity for its Captain, members of the Monaco Rowing Club (Société Nautique de Monaco) and students who have recently participated in a course with Outward Bound Monaco.

Each team bears the name of an Outward Bound location and the four teams will conduct four races to challenge each other and to find the fastest team.
The Patrons of Outward Bound Monaco, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.R.H. Duke of York, K.G. will present the Princes’ Cup to the winning team.

The Princes’ Cup will become a regular sporting fixture going forward in both the Principality of Monaco and in Great Britain.

Outward Bound is a non-profit organisation, which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. Thanks to its 35 educational centres around the world, Outward Bound offers challenging activity courses in natural outdoor locations, which encourage personal development and growth. Over 200,000 people benefit from a course each year worldwide. Outward Bound is recognised as the leading worldwide brand in adventure courses, yet it remains relatively unknown in France.

Outward Bound Monaco is the Monaco branch of the charity and benefits from the dual patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and H.R.H. Duke of York, K.G.

The Princes’ Cup will take place on the morning of Wednesday 8 November in the Port Hercule. Guests, rowers and dignitaries will arrive from 9.00 a.m. onwards and the opening ceremony will commence at 10.00 in the morning.
